Nestled in a serene location, Millwood Lodge offered my family a charming getaway. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the owners, who immediately made us feel at home. The lodge's cozy atmosphere, enhanced by lovely art and soft furnishings, provided a comfortable base for our adventures. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring a diverse menu that satisfied everyone in my family. We often lingered over our meals, savoring each bite. The lodge is conveniently located near the South Lakes Safari Zoo and the Laurel and Hardy Museum, both of which we explored within a 15-minute drive. The children loved seeing the animals at the zoo, and the museum sparked some interesting family discussions. In the evenings, we enjoyed the cozy lounge while the kids played nearby. There was even a warm fire that added to the inviting ambiance.
